WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for its users. Users will now be able to add their Facebook profile link directly to their WhatsApp profile. This will make it even easier for people to connect across both platforms on Meta. This feature is currently rolling out to some testers in WhatsApp's Android beta version. Previously, the feature to add Instagram links was also released.
The new feature has become visible to some users after the Android 2.25.29.16 update to WhatsApp Beta. This feature was first reported by WABetaInfo. Once activated, users can add their Facebook profile link to their WhatsApp profile.
Once the link is added, it will appear on your profile, and others can click on it to access your Facebook account directly.
WhatsApp has also provided privacy controls for this feature. Users can decide who can see their Facebook link. For this, they will have options for Everyone, Only contacts, Except, and Nobody. Verifying the link is completely optional.
If the link is verified, a small verification icon will appear on the profile, indicating that both accounts belong to the same person. If the link isn't verified, it will still appear as a standard URL on the profile.
Beta Testing and Rollout
This feature was first spotted during testing in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.26.12. It is now being rolled out to public beta testers. It's not currently available to all users, but is expected to be rolled out to everyone in the coming weeks.
Why is this feature special?
One-click access to Facebook profiles.
Easy connection across Meta platforms.
Full control via privacy settings.
Great tool for businesses, creators, and public profiles.
