When will the banks be closed in September?
In the month of September, banks’ holidays will be due to different festivals and Sunday-Saturday in different states. Banks in Karnataka will remain closed on 5 September (Eid-Milad), 7 September (Sunday), 13 September (second Saturday), 14 September (Sunday), 21 September (Sunday), 27 September (fourth Saturday), and 28 September (Sunday). Apart from this, banks will be closed due to Karma Puja on 3 September in Jharkhand. Kerala will have the first Onam on 4 September and Eid-e-Milad on 5 September. Banks will remain closed due to Eid-e-Milad on 6 September in Gangtok and Raipur. Banks will remain closed on 7 September (Sunday), 13 September (second Saturday), 14 September (Sunday), 21 September (Sunday), and 27 September (fourth Saturday), 27 September (Sunday) across India. There will be a holiday for Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi on 12 September in Jammu-Srinagar and Maharaja Hari Singh Jayanti on 23 September. Banks will remain closed due to the establishment of Navratri on 22 September in Jaipur. Durga Puja on 29 September in Agartala, Guwahati, and Kolkata on September 29 and Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi will remain closed due to Mahashtami and Durga Puja in Ranchi.
Online services will continue
Even though the bank office remains closed, online banking facility will be available as usual. You can withdraw cash 24 hours from ATM. Net banking and phone banking will also work without any interruption. But if you want to make demand draft, deposit cash, do RTGS, or fill a form, then plan in advance keeping these holidays in mind. Eid-Milad’s leave will be in many states, especially on September 5, so first of all, do their necessary work.
