WhatsApp is working on a great feature these days, which will allow users to message even those people who are not using the app. Yes, according to a recent report by WABetaInfo, this new feature is being called Guest Chat, and it will be beneficial for those users who want to chat with other people outside the WhatsApp network. However, this feature is currently in the testing phase. It is expected that the company may soon release the beta version of this feature, after which the stable update will also be rolled out.
How will this special feature work?
Not only this, but the report about this new feature tells how it will work. A screenshot of this has also been shared by WABetaInfo, which shows that WhatsApp users can start a chat by sending a special link to someone who does not have WhatsApp. Users can send an invite to the other person to start the chat.
With this invite, users will be able to chat without installing the app or without an account. For this, users just have to open the link in the browser and start the chat. It is also being said that this setup will work through a web interface like WhatsApp Web, which will make this process faster and easier.
Will not be able to share media files
Although it is also being said that this feature will open up more ways of communication through WhatsApp, reports suggest that there will be some limitations in it. Users will not be able to share any kind of media file in this guest chat. That is, neither can you send any photo in the guest chat nor will there be a facility to send videos, GIFs or voice notes. Apart from this, the facility to make voice and video calls will also not be available in the guest chat.
