Mumbai: In an important development, the Unique Identification Authority of India UIDAI has urged parents to fulfill the compulsory biometric updates for children. This request has been made keeping in mind the children whose age is seven years and in whose base biometrics updates are to be updated. It is worth noting that children below the age of five are released only on the basis of their picture and demographic details, and their biometric information, such as the biometrics of the fingers or the pupils of the eyes, are not recorded.
