WhatsApp has released a separate app for iPad users. In this, users will get multi-tasking features like audio and video calling to Split Screen.
WhatsApp has finally launched the dedicated app that has been in discussion for a long time for iPad users around the world. Through this application, users will now be able to send messages to their iPads and make audio and video calls. This will improve communication between users. Earlier, users only got access to WhatsApp Web in iPad. It did not have access to the front camera, due to which video calling could not be done.
WhatsApp's iPad app works like the iPhone version. This app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and used. This application allows audio and video calls with 32 people. Also, screen sharing is available.
The new app has a full screen view. This will show the chat list on the left side of the display. If a chat is opened, the window will appear on the right side of the chat list. This will make chatting much easier.
Chats will remain secure
WhatsApp's new iPad app has got the security layer of End-To-Encryption. This will keep private chats safe and will never leak. Chat lock feature will also be supported for additional security.
Multi-tasking function
Messaging app WhatsApp said that multi-tasking functions like Stage Manager, Split View, Slide Over etc. have been added to facilitate the new iPad app. This will allow users to do tasks like web browsing on the tab without closing the app.
Other details
WhatsApp's iPad app has multi-device sync technology, with the help of which users will be able to sync their messages and media files between iPhone, Mac and iPad. Apart from this, Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil can be used in the app.
